MODULAR CHILER
Modular chiller is a cooling system with multiple chillers that couple together to make a complete or expandable chilling system. Each chiller has dual compressors with a dual circuit evaporator and condenser. Modular chillers system made up of modules which are the standardized parts or independent units
KEY FEATURES
- Up to the maximum size of your pumping system, it is simply extensible. You can either install the water heaters (chilled water and tower water) immediately with shut-off valves or merely leave room for the future modules. Without disrupting your current system, add more chiller modules as needed.
- When you have numerous modules, you have additional compressors to meet the chilling cooling capability of your fluctuating cooling load, minimizing short compressor cycling and preserving a stable process water temperature.
- For backup or to cover the day you require the additional cooling capacity, it is simple to add a redundant chiller.
- Additionally, it enables the cooling system to operate with just one compressor during periods of low or nonexistent plant cooling load.
- Your energy use will be decreased by the cooling system. In order to save energy, the compressors are turned off when the cooling system is not in use. However, with larger chillers, the compressors unload and operate at an inefficient energy point. You can also save electricity by slowing down the chiller pump to match the reduced chiller water required as the compressors shut down. To use this feature, the chillers must have motorized valves.
- The chillers are certified by AHRI for cooling capacity, EER and power consumed by each model.
- All of the system’s compressors will be staged by our System Remote Master (SRM) to correspond with the cooling load. If a chiller breaks down due to a fault situation, the SRM immediately starts the following chiller in line. If your plant’s PLC is connected to the SRM, it will receive the information right away.
- Compared to one or two large chillers, the overall cost may be a little more, but the advantages exceed it by a wide margin.
